Economic Development Authority![]() Wells South Industrial Park The Wells Economic Development Authority (EDA) was established to encourage, attract, promote and develop economically sound industry, business and commerce within the City of Wells. The public is invited to attend EDA meetings when they are held on the third Tuesday of each month in city hall starting at 5 p.m. Any changes in the meeting date or special meetings will be posted in the lobby of city hall. ![]() FAQ For Starting A Business Enhancement and Demolition Grant CLICK HERE The Wells Economic Development Authority was established by the Wells City Council in 1989 Since that time the EDA has proven its ability to assist in the economic stability and growth of Wells. It has worked with everyone from the largest employer to smallest family-owned business. It continues to work towards making Wells an economic development hub for Southern Minnesota. The EDA has worked with multiple funding agencies such as Region Nine, Southwest Initiative Fund, and the MN Department of Economic Development.
